Nice outcome. Congrats to America (and the world) that Sarah Palin can now go and crawl back under the rock from whence she came.
She'll be back!

It just kinda sucks that responsible people like myself who bought a house I could afford has to pay for unwise people who bought beyond their means. But I guess that's the new world order. Take from the "rich" and give to the "poor".

Did I just read that?
Please tell me you don't think that's what the bailout boils down to.![]()
She's not going to crawl back under anything for a while.
Sorry for your luck.
I think she's running for Prez in 2012

Well, it's US who is paying this bailout money, right? Taxpayers. I know I heard about plans to rescue all kinds of homeowners who might loose the houses they bought but couldn't afford. I will not be be receiving any assistance in that regard. I know that isn't all it is limited to.
Exactly... but anyways even though the Appeals process is suppose to prevent any innocent person from wrongly getting the Death Penalty.. i believe some throughout the Death Penalty's history have been wrongly convicted and executed.. and some probably are sitting on Death Row right now totally innocent... alot of them? Probably not... but 1 innocent person executed or awaiting execution is 1 too many... the Death Penalty allows too much for human error... at least life imprisonment gives an innocent person a chance... this more then anything else imo is more then enough reason to abolish the Death Penalty...It's not the method of execution that is staggeringly expensive. It's the appeals process that raises costs. Even those convicted of a capital crime have the right to appeal the decision. The appeals process makes certain that innocent people aren't executed. Without this process we would see an increasing number of innocent people convicted and executed for crimes they didn't commit.
Agreed totally on your whole statement...Y'know, if there is going to be stuff like income taxes and 'redistribution of wealth' and whatnot I'd rather it benefit people who actually need it. The funny thing about a lot of modern "conservatives" is they talk a good game about small government to drum up support but then conveniently forget about it when it suits their agenda, e.g. when it suits their chickenhawk foreign policy agenda, pork barrel spending, multi-billion dollar bailouts, and violations of basic civil liberties. Fuck them. They can take their "conservative" ideals and shove them up their asses.
edit: And I'm glad that I can look forward to at least four years of not having to listen to that cunt Sarah Palin spew anymore horseshit.
"It's better that 10 guilty men go free then 1 innocent man be wrongly convicted (and executed)"
Obama won. Oh, yesh.
Let's celebrate by getting shitfaced and listening to Interpol.
