Yeah so say I were to move to NYC...

Well I may fall in love with Canadia or Seattletown too, I still plan on being up there this August, partially to scope out a move.

I don't know why anyone wants me in their city, I'm a pretty god damn annoying neighbor because I never sleep and crank my bass at wicked odd hours of the morn. :loco:

fair enough, but when you get htat PM, you'll understand :P Besides, you'd rule as a neighbor, because I'd be at your house!!!!!! (instead of the cops coming over to mine)

I don't personally believe you can decide whether you enjoy NYC or not in several days, but you know yourself better than I do. :)

and how long ago was that? 10+ years, unless I'm mistaken right?

NYC has changed dramatically in the past 10 years IMO

it was indeed while in college.

I can explain quite succinctly why it isn't for me.

I don't like loud pushy people, which there is no shortage of in northeastern cities.

I don't like crowds.

I don't like traffic congestion.

I can't fucking afford it.

but like I say, I know some sorts of people just dig being in the eye of the hurricane, and there's never a shortage of nightlife if that's your thing. So yeah, I see the appeal.

yeah, i agree with lizard here.

My ideal place would be the smallest town I can get a decent job in and have a few friends living around. I don't like crowds, pushy people, business-types, traffic, pollution/smog, etc.

I love being able to walk 5 minutes and already be half lost in the woods.

I prefer living in a city but having an easy escape. I like the nightlife, I'm a musician, I like being in public places with all kinds of fellow idiots, and then when I need to, I love to get the fuck outta dodge at 138mph and be in the mountains within an hour.

NYC provides that best I can tell. Well, it might take two hours at 32mph, but whatever. :loco:

I don't mind the nightlife, but I prefer the country nightlife... you know. Beer, fire, knives/camping-made-weapons, choppin' shit. Burnin' shit. Shootin' shit.

this is what some fail to realize. I would not live in Manhattan either, its insane there, but if I need to get there and go nuts, or find some event, or whatever .... 30 minutes I am there driving west

30 minutes driving North I am already in Connecticut/Westchester, mountains, biking, hiking, skiing

15 minutes driving South I am at the beach

1 hour driving east, I am in the Hamptons hobnobbing with Paris Hilton :loco:

This gives me butterflies in the stomach, seriously.

Fuck I should really move there. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck my friends are losers anyhow, the only one I'm really close with is moving to Montuna in a few months anyhow, and my mom has always dreamed of living on the east coast (again), and she'd probably follow me and...

Fuck. I need to do this.

same state ...
