Anyways, I don't want people to think I don't like Nevermore, I just don't like the new album. The lyrics don't work, and I still fail to see the concept behind this album. I never even yet, spoke of how short the album is. only 41 minutes? Oh come on! I truely believe Nevermore were forced to release this album, and I'm sure a year later when Nevermore are on a better label they will even dis the album. I sure know they will atleast think about saying it anyways.
The production issues have already been addressed. They fell short of money, and that's that. You cannot blame them for that. You cannot blame the band for a mixup with the final mastering settings. You can dislike the recording all you want to. It may grow on you someday. It is a shortened recording, as you already said...because of the label issues.

The lyrics? I think one day I've got the theme figured out. BLAM! How could I be so stupid? Then the next, I think, maybe I'm a little wrong. This album, on the whole, lyrically, has caused me to THINK more about the band as people. It caused me to think more of Warrel Dane and his writings. Like I said, I think I have the theme figured out...but, that's not the point here. I respect the hell outta anyone who can make me scratch my head....open my mind, make me close it, rethink what I've thought, re-evaluate my perceptions of the world. So, that makes alone makes this, lyrically, very valuable to me personally.

I give you this, devilmanozzy, you said your opinion, and instead of running away from the bashing, you stayed put, and took alot of people yelling at you. I respect that. Since, we had at least 60 threads dealing with the production. Or whatever else they didn't care. But, most of them didn't come back. Or got really pissy! At least you tried to stay civil, and that's pretty cool from my perspective.

That is news to me. I didn' know about the money issues, tho I knew in the past Nevermore had issues with their current record company. I knew that much of the problem was related to a record company problem from the get go.

Well I get the same feeling you get in reguards to the Dreaming Neon Black album. I could understand his feelings, losing a friend you love like that.

I'm not one to start something without sticking around till, either I get my answers (you provided the info I needed) or till I think it's pointless. I am the type that will be very honest with people on what I think about something. And from the first listen of EoR I could hear there was a issue in how the album was made. I can just feel it. Kind of like how Black Sabbath's -Never Say Die, I could feel the saddness from Ozzy and the boys on the fact it was the last album with Ozzy.
Thats the thing with music, it's a artform, and like any artform, it shows the feeling the artists have at the time of the making. Just by the sound of EoR the band was pissed. While Nevermore being angry during a album isn't new, this album seemed to be point towards the record Company.

Anyways, This is my last post, as I got the info I wanted. Thanks for the information.

all of this could have been easily avoided by reading some interviews or even reading some backlogged posts. the search fucktion is extremely helpful when it comes to this

I like Warrel's lyrics, it is so much better than typical metal lyrics that are just basically

"I've got a wild trouser snake baby
I'm so hot tonight
oh baby love me all night long
oh satan please don't bite"

there I've written in ten seconds what equates to normal metal lyrics.

in that regard nevermore is head and shoulders above their peers.

but as a listening experience I like clean production; clean takes effort, and a dirty cheap production job distracts me from the music. You can all like the cheap stuff if you want to; I prefer quality. Shame on Century Media, really. It makes me think far less of them than I already did.
