Hey guys,
Recorded this over the weekend and today for some singles that a great bunch of locals (Decimatus) will be releasing mid year. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this! Only finished the tracking earlier today so be gentle please

Guitars are a Dean Vendetta?? with Dimebucker -> Recto with a slight boost from the TS (Level 5 that's all) -> Recto cab + sm57. The mix is run through my GSSL

(Drums still aren't properly edited, I haven't done the kicks all the way through)

Yeah??? Interesting.. I agree with you, just gotta be careful because there's a lot of mud in the guitars and bass that's really hard to avoid when bring out the lowend in this one! But thanks man, I'll keep at it, the mix is still at a starting point

as for the mix i think the shells are a bit loud in spots, the kit seems a little bit unbalanced. and yea maybe a touch more bass

Too much highs/hi end in the kick imo
Nice snare!
Guitars fit quite nicely.
Bass coud still use some work I think

Cheers Mago! I agree about the kick, it will get some work after vocals get recorded. As for the bass... The DI is horrid sadly. Playing was great, but the bass was really poor, any suggestions on what I could do to it/ need to work on???
