This man has taste! The only album I don't like on there us dEUS, and I've never heard them

Well, it changes all the time....
When I listen to an album I'm like
"Shit, this is the one!!! This is the best one EVER!!"
Then I put on a different album and it's the same
thing all over again >) So here you have my list,
in no specific order, because as said earlier;
it changes according to what I listen to etc.

Opeth - Still LIfe
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes
Nightwish - Wishmaster / or Oceanborn, (can't decide)
Within Temptation - The Dance
Empyrium - Where At Night The Wood Grouse Plays
Metallica - Black album
Borknagar - Quintessence
Children Of Bodom - Follow The Reaper
Otyg - Sagovindars Boning

thanks to everyone whose submitted a response so far :)

godisanatheist - you'd love dEUS, i'm sure. they're from belgium and play a style of music that is more often than not very multi-layered. they are very effective at crossing genres too.

hoser - morningrise and the wall could very easily make it into my top 15.

For me - naming favorite albums is tough, since I am more song based. I like mostly self-made compilations, because I usually don't listen to albums in their entirety. So here is my list (not 10 though):

Opeth - Blackwater Park
The Tea Party - Edges of Twilight
Grip Inc - The Power of Inner Strength
Led Zeppelin - both boxed sets, or all albums, since I basically like all of their songs
Nevermore - Dead Heart in a Dead World

I haven't thought about this in a long time, so I won't take it too seriously. Here are my current favorites:

Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse
Opeth - Still Life
Opeth - Morningrise
Radiohead - OK Computer
Rush - Moving Pictures
Metallica - Master Of Puppets
The Beatles - Revolver
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
Dream Theater - Awake
Death - Scream Bloody Gore (perfect for its type, I need to include some deathrash ;)

+Kreator - Violent Revolution (I guess this won't stay here but I've been listening to it non-stop since it came out!)

1)Ulver-Themes
2)Borknagar-The Archaic Course
3)Otyg-Sagovindars Boning
4)Vintersorg-Cosmic Genesis
5)Sinkadus-Cirkus
6)Opeth-MAYH
7)Camel-Nude
8)Opeth-Still Life
9)Vintersorg-Till Fjalls
10)Ulver-Kveldssanger

Those may change a little from time to time, but that is basically it.

In no perticular order...

MAYH
The Wall
In Through the Out Door
The Divine Wings of Tragedy
Still Life
Images and Words
Wish You Were Here
Leftoverture
Passage
Oceanborn

this list could go on and on it is hard to pick a top ten

1. Iron Maiden - Powerslave
2. Dream Theater - Awake
3. Opeth - Still Life
4. Dissection - Storm Of The Lights Bane
5. Slayer - Reign In Blood
6. King Diamond - Abigail
7. Metallica - Master Of Puppets
8. Mercyful Fate - Melissa
9. Black Sabbath - Master Of Reality
10. Amorphis - Elegy

I have one unchanging favorite album, Derek Sherinian - Planet X. Absolutely brilliant, every second of it. Below that changes from day to day, it would be very difficult for me to say.

Hmm...the first three albums are positionally interchangeable, even if BS is the dearest band on earth to me.

And I'll only put one album per band, since otherwise my list would consist only of Black Sabbath, Opeth and Arcturus.

1 - Black Sabbath: Sabotage
2 - Opeth: Still life
3 - Arcturus: La masquerade infernale
4 - Massive Attack: Mezzanine
5 - Fields of the Nephilim: The nephilim
6 - King Crimson: Red
7 - Brendan Perry: Eye of the hunter
8 - Emperor: Anthems to the welkin at dusk
9 - Billie Holiday: The immortal sessions
10 - Diamanda Galás: Malediction and prayer

Bubbling under top 6:

1 - The Black League: Ichor
2 - Ved Buens Ende... - Those who caress the pale
3 - Solefald - The linear scaffold
4 - Genesis - Selling England by the pound
5 - Ulver - Themes from William Blake's The marriage of Heaven and Hell
6 - Tori Amos: From the choirgirl hotel

As is expectable, these lists are very dynamic, in that albums may come and go as time passes depending on the situation I am in. The top three is, however, somehow sacred and shall most likely remain so.

1. Morningrise; Opeth
2. Orchid; Opeth
3. A Fine Day To Exit; Anathema
4. Kid A; Radiohead
5. Close to the Edge; Yes
6. A Change of Seasons; Dream Theater
7. Moon Madness; Camel
8. My Arms, Your Hearse; Opeth
9. Drukqz; Aphex Twin
10. Perdition City; Ulver
