Diorama at TWO? Who the F**K are they kidding?

Thats the stupidist most absurd thing I have ever heard!

Master Of Puppets at 88?

Linkin Parks debut is apparently better than Master Of Puppets also... (someone do a rolling eyes smiley...)

Can we bomb Rolling Stone HQ before we start on Iraq? Forget "its just someones opinion", thats the most ridiculous list I have ever seen.

88... 2... Bah! Gene Simmons said it best, Rolling Stone is written by ageing hippies :)

In case you didn't read the title of the post spawn, this poll was voted by READERS of Rolling Stone. If you like, I can dig up the edition that has the Rolling Stone writers' list, but I can't be fucked doing that right now. Besides, I'm at work.

All things considered, while there are some "trendy" entries in there like The Vines, Linkin Park, etc., it's actually not a bad list. I'm surprised there's no mention of Cold Chisel, however. The Pretenders, Dire Straits, Cream and the Police should be in there somewhere too, I think. But I didn't vote, so I can't say.

Then the readers of Rolling Stone are ageing hippies also :D

I have seen plenty of those top 100 albums lists, whether its just rock or all genres, and that is by far the worst I have ever seen.

Oh and a Silverchair album #2 of ALL TIME? WHAT THE....

How the hell is that higher than Back In Black, Thriller, Never Mind The Bollocks, Electric Ladyland, Are You Experienced, Led Zeppelin II, etc?!?!?!

I have seen plenty of those top 100 albums lists, whether its just rock or all genres, and that is by far the worst I have ever seen.

If the readers are aging hippies then why do people like eminem and moby appear in the list? the style of music they perform wouldn't even have existed when they grew up.

I of course meant EVERY single person who reads the magazine must be over 40 and an ageing hippie.
