Best of 2013 -my list in no particular order:
Joe Satriani "Unstoppable Momentum"
(in this song, everything after 1:40 brings me close to intelectual orgasm

)
LaValle "Dear Sanity"
(Dokken could do that nowadays if they only want to)
Fates Warning "Fates Warning - Darkness In A Different Light"
(excellent as hell, as in Parallels times)
Beggren Kerlake Band "Walk Tall"
(a new incarnation of classic hard rock)
DGM "Momentum"
(not as good as FrAme, but still worth attention)
Dream Theater "Dream Theater"
(everybody knows that or almost he should)
Jorn "Traveller"
(excellent hard rock)
Liquid Rain "Bright Obscurity"
(progressive melodic metal gem)
Megadeth "Super Collider"
(the second half of the CD is much better than the first one)
Michael Shenker's Tempel Of Rock "Bridge The Gap"
(another gem for hard rock fans in the vain of Rainbow)
Royal Hunt "A Life To Die For"
(DC Cooper is back)
Schubert In Rock "Schubert In Rock"
(hard rock once again)
Strike "We're Back"
(melodic hard rock/AOR)
The Winery Dogs "The Winery Dogs"
(just brilliand musicianship - Portnoy+Sheehan+Kotzen)
Until Rain "Anthem To Creation"
(good heavy progressive stuff)
Vindcictiv "Cage Of Infinity"
(No clip on YT unfortunately... anyway, the new material is different than previous releases, more heavy metal but still with progressive touch)
New releases 2014 wishlist:
Seventh Wonder (nothing left to say)
Anthriel (impressive band from Lion Music as well)
H.e.a.t (sound clips are excellent)
Winger (band that never failed)
Loud Lion (few years of waiting; check them out if you like classic Def Leppard)
Adagio (i'm still hungry after "Archangels Of Black")
and new releases from King Diamond, Symphony X, Sons Of Seasons and Silent Call would be a bliss
