I chose Slayer here. The 83-90 material owns bigtime. I like Candlemass and some Judas Priest as well, and Black Sabbath deserves respect.

I don't care what anyone say, the material on their first 5 records is just timeless and when you see 2 generations of 45 000 fans in a stadium singing Seek or Master or Creep or sad but true or whateveh song from those albums, you know there is something special with these records.

But it s totally right to not dig all farts like the Four horsemen.

Oh and by the way, Hetfield completely changed the way rythm metal guitar is played ( who was playing rythm like Jaymz in 83, 84 with that precision, tightness, speed and mostly downstrokes fellas !)
Jaymz 's right hand is not human I believe.

Kerry King and Hanneman took notice on Ride The Lightning and see how their rythm playing changed from Hell Awaits to Reigh in Blood.

Mustaine was maybe more creative with his parts but he never the incredible energy and tightness that Hetfield has.
