Was organizing my CD collection today, ripping some CDs onto a new HD and I was thinking, I have way too many CDs that I don't really listen to. Made me think, why do I have all of these Paradise Lost EPs that I know I'll never listen to...

So, what is the largest amount of albums you own by any one particular artist???

I have all domestic Carcass releases as well as their Peel Sessions CD and all EPs/singles. I think the list tops out at 11. I also have every Edge of Sanity release which was a lot.. something like 8 was it???

But the most albums per artist I own is deffinately Paradise Lost. I have all of their albums, a few live bootlegs, all the eps and singles, and a few "resissues" with bonus crap - that list tops out at 27.
 
Hmmm...let see...I'm just cutting and pasting here, but these are my top 4. I think Def Leppard takes the cake, though, but I'm not counting! Hahaha. It's close, though.

Nightingale - everything I could get my hands on so far. (keep those demos coming xack ;) )
 
Most likely Megadeth. I have the re-issue discography, a bunch of the cd originals (I sold some to buy remasters), few tapes, the first four albums on LP, the 'No More Mr Nice Guy' 7" single.

If multiple copies of essentially the same recordings do not count, I own all Black Sabbath releases on CD (as well as most on vinyl and a couple on tape) and the same goes for Iron Maiden.

Indeed. They've been a favorite of mine since I first heard "Nausea" in the early 90s. And I'm missing a good amount of their releases, singles and demos and such. Plus the new album One Cure Fits All.

A few years ago, my Insane Clown Posse collection would have numbered more than everything we've posted on this list! Yeah, I know, stupid band, but I began listening to them in high school in 1992 and I have a retarded sense of humor, so we clicked! Hahaha. Of course, with their legion of retarded fans now in the millions and my fanaticism long since diminished I burned everything I could, the rare stuff mainly, and sold it all on eBay. I made over $5,000. Dead serious. ICP fans will buy a piece of horse shit if you write ICP on it.
