your top 5 PUNK records of all time

Frenzal Rhomb- Meet The Family
Radio Birdman- Radios Appear
Toe To Toe are a good band- don't have any albums though
Area 7- Their first album I think..... with Start Making Sense and Second Class Citizen
and Pennywise are pretty good too

I'll forgive you for mentioning the downright putrid Area 7 and Pennywise in the same breath as Toe To Toe and Frenzal. Although, Frenzal have had their gay moments, their otherwise a great Australian Punk band. As for the Birdmen? The Birdmen fucking rock. I'm just glad you didn't add One Dollar Short. o_O

The Who - Quadrophenia

eh? the who? punk?

~dazed and confused~

i like some of their stuff, but i wouldnt have said it was even remotely close to punk. perhaps it was just that album?

anyway. i dont have any particular fav albums - bands would have to be
1. Misfits!!!!
2. Exploited
3. DRI
4. SOD
5. Black Flag

plus some punk here and there from the ramones and others .. few rancid songs etc

Cool topic! More metal fans should open up to punk rock. REAL punk, not this Blink 182 pop shite.Anyhoo...

Dead Kennedys - Frankenchrist
SNFU - If You Swear You'll Catch No Fish
Minor Threat - Complete Discography
Misfits - Earth A.D. / Wolf's Blood
Bad Religion - No Control/Against The Grain/Generator/Recipe For Hate...they're all excellent

Honorable mention goes to these:

Pennywise - The Unknown Road
Dayglo Abortions - Feed US A Fetus
Global Genocide - S/T (a local band that put out 1 casette, best fukkin shit EVER)
Circle Jerks - Group Sex
D.R.I. - Dealing With It
Fear - More Beer
The Forgotten Rebels - Surfin On Heroin
NoMeansNo -The Worldhood Of The World (As Such)

Choose 5 Bad religion records that Arn't no substance, or The New America, and you have a good selection ;)

Suffer, The grey race, against the grain, no control, The process of Belief. For example :)

Exploited Troops of Tomorrow
Discharge Hear Nothing & Why
Circle Jerks - Group sex, Golden Shower
DRI - Dealing With It, Crossover
Suicidal Tendencies
Damned - Damned Damned Damned
Dead Boys - Young Loud & Snotty

Epic bump.

Mine (including hardcore punk):

Refused - The Shape Of Punk To Come
Converge - No Heroes
Botch - American Nervoso
NOFX - White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean
The Lillingtons - Death By Television

great genre... I need to buy more punk albums.. anyways:

Offspring - Smash
Ramones - S/T
Sex Pistols - Never mind the Bollocks
Rancid - And Out Come the Wolves
Murphy's Law - Back with a Bong

Honorable mention would be Dropkick Murphy's. I don't own any of their albums yet but I have heard individual songs and most likely I would of included them on my top five album list.
