If I have these two devices plugged in, Cubase won't get a signal from either, regardless of which one is set to the master ASIO driver. I want to use the SPDIF out on the 410 to get the extra stereo in on the Firepod. I don't know if this is a software limitation or some kind of bug, but...

Just so you know, he's playing the "clean samples" through Guitar Rig 2, one of the boxed presets. I found a manual for that and it's apparently a bitch to figure out. The left hand keys he's playing are modifying the sample bank to stuff like SLIDE Up/Down, palm mute, hammer-on pull-off etc...

i went ahead and ordered a thinkpad from IBM, configured with the 2.5 ghz penryn core 2 duo (6 MB L2) and a single stick of 2 gb ddr2 (for easy upgrade later). I added the 120 gb 7200 rpm drive and asked for the linux build, and that alone saved me $130. It came last week and works awesomely

open the mixer view inside Ez Drummer by clicking on the mixer graphic in the picture, and beneath each fader, click to assign the output to a separate channel. it defaults to have everything go to channel 1
