reroute to remain > sounds of a playground fading > come clarity > a sense of purpose ^ out of the modern albums obviously (although the production on 'sounds of a playground fading' is easily the best/fullest)

i agree with hans that anders cant really sing. im a vocalist as well and its pretty obvious that his approach is very 'throaty' (which typically is not a good thing). i mean he makes it work well enough, but a trained vocalist could have blew this shit out of the water in the clean singing...

after a couple listens id say that its 'ok. out of all these songs i could only see myself listening to about 2 of them again in the future.

the puzzle and enter tragedy have nearly the same guitar riff at the intros. the puzzle is a little faster and enter tragedy is slowed down/slightly different drumming. the verses are nearly the same too vocally/with the 2 step drumming. hell, even 'darker times' seems to start off with a...

reactions so far: positive: fear is a weakness is awesome anders vocals have def got better with time as far as how well he can sing seems much more ambitious than the last few albums negs: couple missteps on the album with the electronic tracks (the attic - the jesters door) the jesters door...

i'm starting to think this shit isnt going to leak at all until maybe the day before. they are doing a pretty good job of keeping it off the net considering everything these days leaks weeks in advance except for this apparently.

i havent been excited for an in flames album for years lol but i found myself coming here a lot to check on the album status after i heard the few songs that have gotten out, so i decided to sign up. cant say i liked a sense of purpose much, but i still consider myself a fan.
