Drip drip, from you sagging lip!

My god! thats awesome! I had feared that line up had disappeared forever! Do you have any information about this concert? It would be so amazing if now, thirty years on, this resurgence in interest in Comus allowed them to start playing together again. Who knows what could happen!

    Opeth on Vinyl

Does anyone know if all of the Opeth albums are on vinyl? The only ones I know of are the lovely picture discs of the first three albums, and the new LP of Ghost Reveries. I cant' find BWP on vinyl anywhere on the internet, which is an arse.

Night and the Silent Water Live

I thought playing that song turned that gig from brilliant to definately the best Opeth concert ever. I never liked the song much before but live it was made a truly emotional experience. Mike even played a few seconds of Camel! When was also really magical live, I love the fact that they...

    acoustic versions of opeth songs

does any one think it would be quite interesting to see complete acoustic versions of some opeth songs? In Flames and At the gates have done it to varying degrees and its always awesome. Im sure that Opeth would do a fine job of converting more of their heavier songs to acoustic versions for...

The Recommend A Metal Album Thread

ALBUM RECOMMENDATION: Mithras: 'Worlds beyond the veil' Mithras are one of the few death metal band which have created something unique and truly inspirational with the genre. Hailing from Rugby, Leon macy (guitar and drums) and Raynar Coss (oratory and bass) have created this amazing epic...

    Opeth is NOT Death Metal!

I think its a unique genre isnt it? opeth cant be classified. But i think their main influences are death metal (although not tradititional floridian death metal) and progressive rock. So i would say 'melodic death metal with prog rock influences' but definately not 'progressive metal' or the...

Antithesis of Opeth in your collection

Most of my music collection now stems from the discovery of Opeth and the journey that led me on. But erm... the offspring, slipknot, ya know all the shit we all listened to when we where kids.

    Wreath

Its a bit boring at times, as some of the riffs I think are repeated too much and it doesnt seem that dynamic. Although it has some amazing moments, it does not have what other opeth songs have in my mind, and the lyrics and the vocals tend to piss me off after a while.

    Per and Anekdoten

On the album 'Vemod' by Anekdoten there is mention of a Per Wiberg doing some guest piano. I wonder if this is just another person or is actually a spelling mistke and he did appear. Cos they are a swedish band and they do appear in the thanx list in GR.

    Possible New Opeth Mp3???

AnTz0r, i agree with you about queen, their first few albums are amazing if you ignore the pop stuff which mainly gets bandied about.
