Doesnt really matter what Lars says now, the fact remains that Metallica were one of the founders of Thrash and they were brilliant in the 80's, their prime time. Anyone who ever saw them live during this time I'm sure will agree, they were amazing to watch. All albums including AJFA are awesome...

Good band, saw them live and they were devastating. The guitar playing is fantastic imo. Better than vast majority of grindcore bands, cos at least they vary their music a lot. Grindcore is great so long as albums are 30 minutes or less. Nasum still rated as the best for me in this genre.
