To me the most "epic" sounding songs are... 1.) Blind Guardian - "And Then There Was Silence" 2.) Royal Hunt - "Intervention" 3.) Nightwish - "The Poet and the Pendulum" It doesn't get much more over the top than these three contenders :-)

I'm pretty sure Kelley is off on Friday... and I'm on vacation this year -- hence why I'm making it on Friday. She and I check in on Friday 3pm, so I'll have to drop off our bags, do the lunch thing, go back to the hotel, check in, and then go back to the venue. Usually I do it on Saturday...

I withheld puting over 200 dollars on my credit card for as long as possible this year to keep a little more cash flow going (as a lot of uneasy people are doing this year because of the uncertain job situations, cuts in benefits/pay, etc.) But it's time to bite the bullet and get it over with...

An album that hit me as 12 for 12 was Scar Symmetry's new one, Holographic Universe. I've NEVER heard an album with 12 songs on it all be equally amazing. Usually, the problem with more song oriented albums with 12 different songs is you wind up just going back to the 3-4 favorites you have...
