    Animals as Leaders

Also, for anyone interested check out "Reflux" who was a band out of NoVA/DC area. Ash (founder of Sumerian Records) and Tosin was the vocalist and the guitarist, respectively. on a sidenote, Evan Brewer was also their bassist before joining Animosity. Sorry, couldn't help but Reminisce the...

try hard-panning the di track to either left or right. I came across the same issue myself a while back and that seemed to work for me...

    Fizzy guitars...frequencies?

Generally speaking, how do you guys distinguish between "fizz"es from "sizzle"s from various amps? I know there are a lot of factors ranging from cabinets, to room, to mic placements. And to a certain point, it might even be relative to the engineer's ears, but is there some sort of an outline...

Blending Amp sim track with real guitar?

I have never gotten anything remotely usuable with ampsims alone , but with a lot of tweaking and a decent cab impulse, I've had some hit-and-miss results. Does anybody here blend a mic'd guitar with an ampsim track with good results?

    Two amps parallel live

I don't mean to continue the OT-ness, and I probably should not even mention this, but rumor has it that Bulb and Tosin (Reflux's guitarist) collaborated on some material not too long ago. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... If this reply gets deleted, I apologize in advance. I suck at keeping secrets. ...

    Two amps parallel live

check out Veil of Maya (Sumerian records), and Reflux (now broken up, whos vocalist founded the aforementioned label and the bass player plays for Animosity?)... anyways, I've seen both of their guitarists and boy, do they do a great job implementing stereo setups and phrase samplers on stage...

Sub-low hits? 40hz-hits? (DAMN how do you call'em in english!) How to generate them??

How does Devin Townsend do it in Strapping Young Lad? It seems like he side chains a compressor of some sort for the subdrops with the rest of the mix... so that everything squashes out when the subdrop hits ? :erk:

seriously basic question about running sessions off another internal drive.

wow... I broke my first DAW laptop (sony vaio) when it fell off my desk onto an "oriental" rug that I bought from IKEA... so I sold the rug on ebay to offset the cost of my new laptop... and as a matter of fact, I too have a 15.4" targus laptop bag with lots o' padding! :)

seriously basic question about running sessions off another internal drive.

WooooooHoooo I finally get to contribute something to this community... lol Its recommended for any processor-exhausting multimedia applications to run the program application from the primary hdd, and read/write data from/onto a secondary hdd. If the secondary hdd is housed internally...
