I haven't really used my Mustaine cab much...never really liked it, twas way too fizzy and somewhat phasey sounding...

so I decided to give it another try.....broke it in with sine waves for hours, removed the stupidarse metal grille (major improvement!!!!!) and stuck an sm57 and an m201 in front of it.
= fantastically smooth sound, VERY nice...I'll keep that cab!

Jaymz: you should definitely try it with the metal thing off!

I actually did a A/B test with the grille off and "most" people preferred it with the grille on....though the cab was pretty much straight out of the shop that time so im curious to try it broken in abit more! Also quite funny the m201 was the mic im the closest to buying if I want a second mic alongside the trusty 57!

Wonder if Andy took the grille off on Endgame :)

PS. Might have to give this sine wave thing a try....im not convinced mines been broken in purely from reamps and clean chugging :p
