So, as you can see - kind of anticlimactic. Not many upsets. I used my vote once (in the Twilight vs. Mire match which ended 25-25). I originally had them both ranked a 10, so I gave it to Twilight as a bit of Orchid R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Now onto the second round. I will make a new thread - PLEASE POST YOUR SECOND ROUND VOTES THERE (NOT HERE!!!).

Morningrise is doing better. 4 out of 5 still in it... Advent will definitely pass 1 or 2 more rounds. TNATSW will probably go down vs BWP of course. BRI will meet it's maker with WC or Godhead's Lament. TBYF will either take or be taken by an orchid song.. a no win situation

I'm still baffled by why whoever created this poll put the short little instrumental songs against regular songs. It just doesn't make sense to put Silhouette against Blackwater Park, for example. The short songs are really just like little interludes, not songs. They should be a separate category.

BtM has some unique and awesome moments.
I love the keys....
The first time I heard Mikael sing "Lost love of the heart in a holocaust scene memory." I thought he was going into some 70s style a capella fugue ala Gentle Giant - Knots. It has a cool solo that I guess Peter plays. Then Mikael lets out a huge growl. He is one of the few in DM that knows how to use vocals as an instrument.
