 Is that even necessary? "I don't like someone because she cried a little"

Someone might think his or her point is perfectly valid, in which case insulting their post isn't going to get anything done.

First of all, rule number one of the forum is NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO BE MEAN TO NIKKI.

Secondly, try not to be a dick from now on. Even I'm giving this shit a whirl, so you can too.

So, I'd really like to vote for Obama this year, but it sounds like he's going to try to pull us out of Iraq, which is frankly stupid considering how much we've invested in the war, how fucked-up that region is going to become if we leave now, and how badly it will affect our reputation for doing a half-assed job there. If someone could make a good case to me for the war being hopeless, I'd love to hear it; but it seems to me that we're doing a lot to get rid of the fanatical murderers over there who need to be erased from the face of the earth.

I don't like McCain's beliefs on social policy, but he seems to have a relatively open mind, and I don't expect him to just cave in to popular opinion like most other politicians (including Obama) would. Plus, I don't think liberalising our social policies is as much of a priority as creating a stable Iraq is.

I thought my Obama picture was a pretty constructive contribution to this political discussion.

I think that is a naive point of view. Right now there is a civil war happening in Iraq with two factions of muslims fighting each other, along with them attacking US soldiers and civilians. These people are motivated enough to kill themselves, or strap bombs to retarded women and use them. It's been nearly 5 years and still even the capital is not safe. Do we have to go through another (albeit less intense) Vietnam, where we fight an endless war of attrition with an entire population?
