Caladon Brood from the USA will release their debut album in february called "Echoes of Battle". The songs are apparently inspired by the fantasy book series "The Malazan book of the fallen" by Steven Erikson.

Why on earth do bands do this? It's incredibly corny and a shit idea, no matter how good the books may be. And no, it's not kooler just because it isn't the lord of the rings. I'm looking at you, nocternity, and you, myrddraal and every other band who have stolen this shit idea from varg vikernes who (as far as I know) at least was fairly original even if it was a shit idea even then.

And I'm a huge fantasy nerd and have read and liked all mentioned books. Stupid.
Metal should be about dark power, emotions and blood and the devil.
