2013 NHL Thread

He was top 10 in goals a week ago before his little slump, and he's still in the top 20. Before he had his major concussion, he had 32 goals in 41 games. He's always a definite threat to win the goal scoring race.

You're acting like he's Henrik Sedin. Maybe you should pay more attention ya fucking loon.

You're just another goof who overrates him. He will do goals that's for sure, but he will not win...

San Jose will have to start winning again.. How do they always fuck up shoot-outs so badly??

EDIT: Good for Pavelec, but still.

Crosby will always build up the points, but cant see him being the outright goal scoring leader. As good as he is he can easily be taken somewhat off his game...he gets rattled too easily. The Bruins and other teams, recently the Rangers who arent intimidated by Crosby can do this. Though he is now hurt, a guy like Stamkos just delivers better as far as pure goal scoring, so steady and never gets rattled. He maybe doesnt have the weight of the world on his shoulders like a Crosby but it is what it is.

The fact that i hate Crosby with a passion may taint my attempt at a legit case lol.

jimmy howard is garbage as of late

fuck

is monster ready to come back from his injury? howie needs to get his shit together and having gustavsson show him that his job isn't safe is the best way to do that

Our future is definitely looking brighter, just curious to see who our new GM is going to be. Rumors have it being Dudley from the Pittsburgh Office, former Sabre.

Yeah I made that mistake too..not sure the difference in GM and President of Hockey Operations, it's probably just more a fan-appeal thing but Nolan was credited with hardest working teams with subpar lineups, so hopefully that continues.

I would compare it to the relationship between the POTUS and the Secretary of the Defense (or any cabinet member). Technically, the President is the head of the military, but the Secretary of Defense is the one who is more "hands on".

The GM has most of the say in regards to what he wants to do, but the Pres. of Hockey Operations has the real final say. The relationship between the President of Hockey Operations and GM is different for every organization, but that's basically it. President of Hockey Operation is a common position these days, and some notable people with that title include Brian Burke, John Davidson, Joe Sakic, etc.
