Heh, you should try living in Sweden. Tolerance levels are EXTREMELY LOW. I dunno how your state works, maybe you can drink 1 or 2 beers and it's still legal? If you drink HALF a beer here you're fucked if the police stops you.

But there is no police to stop you in Sweden .. at least not on every corner like in NY ... :loco:

You are right, the US has pretty high tolerance levels. You can basically have a drink an hour ... and still pass a DUI test.

Speaking of irresponsible ... 5:30 am after the bachelor party, coming home, tired more then buzzed, 2 passengers ... I decided on the Queensboro bridge that the orange construction cones were going to be fun ... so I did a little slalom through a few of them

Watching the expression and eventual near panick stop of the guy behind me was priceless :hypno: :erk: :loco:

Irresponsible, yes I know.

Here most states have 2 different levels of intoxication, either DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) or DUI (Driving Under the Influence). They very from state-to-state, but in NJ, a BAC of 0.1% is DWI, and a BAC of 0.08% is DUI.

For someone who weighs 200 lbs such as myself, I can drink about 2 1/2 beers in 1 hour and remain under the legal limit. Over the course of a night (say 3-4 hours), I can easily drink 6 beers or so. Legally, that is. So someone like lurch could drink 42 beers and be fine.

Sweden: 0,0002% is drunk driving, 0,001% is severe drunk driving (I guess those are the equivalents of DWI/DUI)

I told you it was fuckin strict.

 ... I am a big puss though when it comes to drinking. I like to mix shit up in a couple of hours ... usually following some wine with beer and a scotch on the rocks ... get to that killer buzz ... then maintain it with beers. But really I Can't handle much liqour.

yes European countries are notoriously strict ... one of my relatives who was here recently from Hungary, was shocked that I had a drink before driving them around town ...

Yeah are you sure you're not missing a zero in your figures though? 'Cause I think that at 0.1% you'd be dead

EDIT: I think we use different systems of measurement. Let me check dis shit out.

EDIT 2: Yeah I think if you add a 0 to your values or remove one from mine they are comparable. BLAH BLAH who cares though. We're stricter than you anyway that's the bloody point. :p

Uh, overgeneralizing "Europe" again -- England for example not NEARLY as strict, people drive home from the pub all the time. Probably not France either.

pubs close at 11pm in the UK and cops carry no guns ... getting away from cops is easy :loco:

Yeah, you may be right, math isn't my strong suit, and thus, decimals are even less a strong suit. :D

i know it is part of Europe but a separate island ... this is why I make a jokee to googie
