30 minute metal song

I'm diggin it so far. I agree the guitar tone seems a bit muddy and some of the notes get lost in there. I like the whole song overall so far...I'm about 20 minutes in....but it reminds me, structure-wise, of Fates Warning's "A Pleasant Shade of Grey." It 's not really continuous but it does flow pretty well.

Would like to hear some vocals of course. :)

Nice work

Holy crap dude, sounds really awsome. While the music sounds really DM, i think it could lend itself quite well to a decent multirange clean vocalist.....hell, just find yourself some musicians and follow what ever path you decide, with that writing talent im sure it would sound just as good no matter what style vocalist you found.

Mendels masterpiece! I really like all your stuff alot but this is glorious.
I love your tone. Kazrogs patch I assume. The kick drum sounds slightly muddy to me as well. I'd like the snare to be a bit louder. I can hear the splices between parts, it's unnatural sounding. Don't know how to fix this. Would like to know.

Did you use waves C4?

Great riffs, sometimes sounds a lot like Nile. Give us a little rundown of your gear+plugins. One thing that bothers me is the mp3 quality, you should try better codec / higher bitrate

I don't know, you should post a sample (you don't need to post the whole piece) without any stereo buss processing.
Then maybe I could suggest something.

Yeah, this way, we should be able to tell you if there's too much energy in the low end that is sucking the stereo mix while compressing for example. Anyway, I was curious so I performed an analysis on your file. It could be inaccurate because of the mp3 conversion but you get something like -9db rms on the louder parts which is pretty much in my opinion, especially for an "home-mastered" stuff. You should benefit from quietening it by a a couple of db's. Less master compression/limiting. Also I can tell your attak/release settings are inaccurate cause there's a big amount of audible distortion and pumping effect.
