30 minute metal song

GREAT RESPECT to you!!! I havent heard the whole of it (still listening) but I really like it!

I have a little question: how did you make all the synth/ambient stuff? is that all keyboards? (sorry, I'm new to this)
 
all synths and ambience yeah haha are done by me on my keyboard( yamaha prs 2000 lol ) . anyway on the 2 "interlude"tracks. the orchestra are done with edirols orcehstra. en guitar pcking bij me. and the sitar etc also done by me on my keyboard.

Well dude, in terms of compression, it sounds a million times better.... the song can actually breathe now.

That being said, take some EQ & a C4 to the guitars, drop the bass guitar a notch, & compress the drums again....

...then, GENTLY compress/limit the whole mix.

ok !! could you bea bit more spcific about the cq on the guiar and c4. what should i do with the eq and c4 ? and compressing the drums :D could you tell em abit how please :D i beg you.

Ok, I'm generalizing here, but try engaging a Hipass filter on the guitars at 75-80 hz, then compress with the C4 from about 100-350-400 hz. Experiment. Do a lot of A/B comparisons, so you can hear the mud being removed.

As for compressing the drums... that'll be in part 5 of my article. It can be a tricky game, so please be patient.

I'm only to about the 10 minute mark right now but so far that songwriting is freakin awesome. Good shit man!
