6505/5150 users what do use for clean sounds?

Did you have to buy a separate amp just for cleans? or some amp Sim when recording? Also I have a 5150 combo was gonna buy the head and was wondering is it gonna sound any better or the same for metal. I know cleans suck on both. One last thing, are the cleans amazing on the rectifiers or just okay? Thx for any advice - Shane

Just okay, ive got a 6505 and a recto but the cleans im using are all amp sim based.

I usually use a Fender Twin Reverb for clean tones, and a Marshall JMP if I need just a bit of dirt.
