6505+ REVIEW

I just picked it up and plugged it in....nothing much of a review but all I can say is it sounds EXACTLY like my 5150 II....the only difference is the clean channel overall sounds alot better, maybe it's due to the stock Ruby 6L6GC's it came with. So far it's pretty solid and it has that great midrangy distortion as expected.

Isn't it to be expected, since they are supposed to be nothing more than renamed 5150/5150 II

yeah....thats what people expected...it's just renamed. I've just been hearing alot of rumours circulating about how certain things were better on the 5150 and vice versa....to my ears they are the same.

They are exactly the same, any differences would be a result of the inherent differences in the tubes themselves.

One reason why people try to look for the 5150 instead of 6505 is price. The 5150 is a lot cheaper second-hand than a 6505.
