A question on Soloing.

Hi, all. I'm still relatively new to Opeth and there's something that's been on my mind lately and since seeing a few threads with people playing some of the solos in songs.

How are you able to tell which solos are Mikael's and which are Peter's? I mean on a song done in the studio and on a CD, not played live.

I've heard that Mikael plays all of the solos live. Does he play them all in the studio as well?

Mikael doesn't play them all live, neither does he play them all in the studio. I differentiate between Peter and Mikael's solos either by having seen them do each one on stage, or just judge by their style.. there's of course a few I can't really tell, but generally they have their own sound.

yea, mikes are typically the more bluesy ones, where as peters are the ones that are more metal thrash sounding, typically if there are sweep arpregios or something crazy like that its mike, if its balls to the wall hammer ons and pull offs they are peters
