A Surprising Tone

So I was jamming along today and had multiple amps at my disposal to record, and I decided to do a comparison to see how a "lesser" amp stacked up to a 5150. The end result. Well you be the Judges, can you tell a difference in tone? Can you spot the 5150, can you name the other amp? The other amp may be shocking to some. The idea of this poll is to show some amps if dialed in right can be a very cheap alternative to more brutal amps. I know I now have a practice amp and a live backup rig

Well it's hard to say! Nice mix. I'll say that B is 5150 and A... don't know... Line 6 Spider (???) ;-)

A sounds a bit more "sterile" to me, I like both but B has a bit more dirt to it - in a good way imho.
I hope it's no ampsim

B sounds better to me when the pedal point style riff kicks in but apart from that their quite similar

A sounds like it has an impulse on it because every chug sounds the same
B sounds a bit more real because the chugs differ from one another

so I would say A is sim?
B is real?

they both sound really nice tho

Ha! they both sound great, but im going with A for the 5150. And the riffs are awesome as well lol

I don't really prefer one over the other. They both sound like a tubescreamer+amp to me.... *shrugs*

B sounds a bit more muddy/muffled. I'm preferring A tbh.

Could have done without the lead snare drum and not so much clipping/limiting though

B 5150, A = Ampsim maybe? They both sound extremely similar mind. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a trick question and both were a 5150.
