OK, so I went back in to make an appointment. Actually spoke to a tattoo dude and he said it would just be too difficult to do it without it being really big and with the background. I had a feeling that would be the case. I'd rather not have it than have it at a lower quality.

So I'm gonna go with another design, something simpler. Thinking of this one, in black rather than white:

Thoughts? Never did like the machine guns being so big though. But I wants an Eddie on my arm!

Hmm, inverted it looks pretty bad. Oh, I don't know. Maybe just the outline and the black bits in the middle?

It always irked me how far up the barrels the magazines are on those guns.

First thing I said to myself when that album come out was "there's a million tattoos right there" hehe.

Yeah, I'd like to get it done eventually, but don't want to go too big for my first one. Baby steps.

That is crap, I have seen it on an upper arm in a magazine, with no background, and it actually looked really good.

Nah, not yet, don't know what I want yet. I hope to find something quicksmart though, I'm looking forward to it.

I've already decided that for my second tattoo I'll get Kirk Douglas from my favourite film, Paths of Glory:

I have never heard of that film... it looks like one I would like. What's it about?

Kirk Douglas plays a colonel in the French army in the first World War who has to defend three soldiers accused of cowardice. It's awesome. One of Stanley Kubrick's earliest films.
