Hi, I'm new so I don't really know if I posted this in the correct place.
Well, I'm a vocalist and I don't want to learn to growl (even though I like a lot of bands that use it) due to the fact that it's a risk to my voice. And if I lose my voice ... it would be an awful tragedy

I heard some pedals can help make that effect. Are they good? Do people judge too much about it? (even if they do, I prefer to take care of my voice, but it's not totally indifferent to me)
