It's no-one's fault, as far as I know In Flames is a democratical band, Anders or anyone else doesn't have more power than the others. An interviewer once asked Jesper about the leadership of IF, whether Jesper is the leader cuz he's the only founding member left and Jesper replied he's definitely not the boss and that all of In Flames are making decisions together and the band is like a family.

In Flames should just break up before they release another 3 Doors Down album with all the songs on it like Come Clarity (song). I'm serious, they should break up and stop embarassing themselves, because I know that they're not going to go back to the roots unfortunately, Anders says that in every interviews, the band members also tend to agree.

it still amazes me why u even post on this forum. to let out your agression towards in flames and their progression? if u want them to make another lunar strain so bad then just go listen to your copy of it. let all of us who like in flames as a whole continue to enjoy what new things they have to offer.

I don't want In Flames to make another Jester Race. But I'd prefer that they evolve as a band in the context of their older style. There was something fantastic and escapist about the melodies on the first four albums which to me, were exclusive to them.

It seems everyone thinks bands evolve only to sell themselves out. Personally I don't know, because I haven't too much knowledge of the subject, but we all have opinions here, and if you ask me it sounds like a load of horseshit.

I look at it this way. If a band doesn't evolve, then fans have the same old shit to look forward to listening to year after year, and the bands have the same shit to look forward to playing year after year. Somewhere along the line, fans and/or the band is going to be bored as hell with the stuff. To me the real "sellouts" are the ones who refuse to evolve. I mean, where the hell is the creativity!?

Of course evolution is going to come with a price. Bands evolve, but so do their fanbases. Deal with it. Somebody somewhere is always going to be pissed off no matter what. I'll be the first to say that I'm guilty of it. But I dealt with it. Really, I think it's just important to look at it from the perspective of the band.

I think you're just jealous you can't make music like on Come Clarity. Then again, no-one could. I mean, listen to the melodies - do you think Beethoven could write better than that? No! CC will be remembered for centuries as the peak of music as we know it.
