I'm a MP fanboy and of course love Russell Allen so I'll have to go to this.

haha I love how no matter what Portnoy does, he will always have a freakish obsession with covers. So awesome.

Why is "Kill The King" the go-to Rainbow cover for everyone? Why not "Long Live Rock And Roll" or "Light In The Black"?

I'm sure RA will kill it vocally...but I'm tired of bands covering "KTK"... ha!

Amen. Can we get a moratorium on covers of "Kill the King"?

Not the most adventurous songs to cover for the most part, but Romeo Delight and High Wire are certainly cool, and hearing Russ sing any of these will be worth the price of admission. I didn't care for their album, but will very likely get this if they do the tunes justice.

Speaking of Rainbow covers, I'll just put this right here:

I'm with Glenn and Simon on this. You would think that, considering the bands that they like to cover, that Adrenaline Mob would go for more of a classic hard rock sound. I was hoping for Badlands Jr., but I ended up getting "The Sickness"-era Disturbed Jr. It's such a waste of talent.

Stay metal. Never rust.

Omerta kicked ass...I initially thought it was going to be crap, but ended up loving it. I really dug the Black Label Society/Brand New Sin vibe it had. And Sir Russell is a vocal beast. I'd rather have another cd of originals, but these covers sound very cool.

I have a ton of covers of Dio, Rainbow, Sabbath, and a few of Heart in my collection. But High Wire? At least that'll be something new and different. But combine any of the above with Adrenaline Mob's energy and it has the possibility of being great. Can't wait to get my hands on this disc to find out. Unfortunately, they aren't touring anywhere near me this time.

I initially read a lot of negative reviews of Omerta, so I was thinking about skipping it... but I wound up listening to it, and liked it. I'll definitely check out the covers album.
