Don't give up hope....from the Adrenaline Mob Facebook: "The tour dates we listed earlier today are for the 1st US leg...there will be a 2nd leg in April/May with more US cities as well as Canada...coming soon!"

Recording 'Romeo Delight' was an absolute blast for me," Orlando said. "I grew up listening to EVH, and from the moment I heard 'Eruption,' I was hooked for life! Tracking the guitars was such a blast, as I plugged in my white-and-black Charvel, my trusty ol' MXR Phase 90 and went right into my cranked-up Marshall JCM800, entering that EVH zone and giving my all to pay tribute to one of the greatest rock guitarists ever! We had a great time with Mike Portnoy's idea to insert a medley of kick-ass VH parts in the mid-section while going into a great treat before we head back to the final chorus!

WOW... I never really cared for that song before but Russel just pushes the vocal to a new level.... looking forward to this release!

I completely agree. If they promised to play all covers I would be likely to go 1) to see talented people perform great music 2) Out of morbid curiosity to see how low the turn out will be in the dive venue they are playing.
But I know they will probably play some of their 3rd rate Disturbed pseudo metal, which I have zero interest in hearing. I think my money would be better spent seeing the Living Color VIvid Anniversary show a couple days earlier.
It's a good album, not great. I think the thing people forget or don't know is that MP came in after these songs were written. I think with him from the beginning we can only get a better result on a second album. And another thing you've got going on the album is Russell Allen. Of course his vocals kill anything that monkey metal crap that Disturbed has ever done. Also as mentioned above they are above and beyond better live than their record and other bands. Totally worth seeing.

ADRENALINE MOB has unveiled the Coverta tracking session video for ‘Barracuda’ (originally performed by HEART). Check it out below:
Drummer Mike Portnoy comments, “I picked this track. I always thought this was a killer song and would make for a great modern-metal update. I produced a demo for my wife's old thrash band MEANSTREAK back in the early '90s and they covered this but it was never released, so I thought it would be a great one for us to Mob-up! There's very few male singers that could tackle Ann Wilson's incredible vocal range, but I had a hunch Russell would kill it and sure enough, he did!”

I saw them a little over a week ago but I deliberately missed the three opening bands. One was described as a Limp Bizkit clone (Yuck) but the last opening band got good reviews. As for Adrenaline Mob, a great if short performance (75 minutes) and finally I got to hear Russell live with clear distinctive vocals. For most Symphony X shows, his voice is buried in the mix, drowned out by the too loud and distorted instruments or so poorly mixed, he sounds like he's singing from the next room.

Yeah, I agree about Symphony X not usually sounding so hot live. I thought it was just my luck, but it seems to be true everywhere. I didn't care too much for Adrenaline Mob sound live either, but vocals did sound good - definitely much better than Sym X live. Guitars were kind of mushy and not clear though.
I think Russell Allen does awesome Dio . I am not so sure about the rest of the covers though. I think they should just do a Dio covers album, like Jorn

Caught this show the other night in KC at Voodoo Lounge (Harrah's). Russell was a bit under the weather, but a sick Russell Allen is still better than 95% of the vocalists out there IMHO. The band overall is tight as hell, and really pumping it out. Mike Orlando really impressed the hell out of me....very solid. Sound was ok....maybe a bit bass heavy but that might've been my location and earplugs. Poor turnout....lucky if there was 100 or so on a Tuesday night.
3 local openers... nothing really to write about as I was in and out to the casino. However, national opener Nothing More (from Texas) is definitely worth seeing. It's not really my thing regards vocals but they really brought it in the energy department. They're kinda a mix of Avenged Sevenfold meets Chili Peppers meets Blue Man Group.
