Riverside or Amorphis?

Out of those 25%, I can almost guarantee that the vast majority were either the aforementioned "knowledgeable" attendees who dismissed Amorphis entirely without actually giving them a chance, or the ones who are easily scared of growls.
Riverside or Amorphis?
from the Pagan Alter you showed me....they are nothing but a low rent Black Sabbath.
Amorphis. I was really into them before their performance at IX and yeah, it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
You are really into a lot of bands it seems.
I doubt it's the latter because they hardly played many songs that featured growls.
Do I say that often? I guess I never noticed.
Sorry, just had to call you out a bit.
Even for bands you aren't into a lot (like Uriah Heep or CIIC), you preface it with, "I am into them............but"
I've liked everything I've heard, but unfortunately they're a band I'm just completely unfamiliar with. So, much like the CIIC show, I will have to decline. Plus, the Devin Townsend show is the following night.
Pretty much figured this would be your response. I like what I've heard, but I don't own a damn thing by them so I doubt I'll be going either.

@ Diabolik - if you think this sounds like Black Sabbath, then, well, I don't know what to tell ya!!!

You REALLY need to listen to some more doom (though I know you won't) if you think Pagan Altar sounds anything like Black Sabbath. Sorry dude, but you are way off on that one.
Eh, ok, so the technical verbiage was, "I like what I have heard....."
Point being is that it's rare you say you don't like something.
Not a BAD thing per se, just an observation.
Amorphis played an incredible set, and there were a lot of songs with at least some growls. I watched people leave as a direct result of that. It was their loss, that's for sure.
What is that nailz?
