Agalloch Tour - at long last

BWBK line up thus far:

Grave Digger, Primal Fear, Seven Witches, E-Force, Shadowkeep, Ion Vein, Lilitu, Crimson Glory (acoustic set).

Who's sponsoring the show this year? Metal Rules???!

Hey, hey... Seven Witches are fucking amazing live. Don't forget, James Rivera is in that band.

And Crimson Glory "Transcendence" is still one of my favorite metal cds.

Can't stand Primal Fear.

E-Force I'm interested in hearing. (Eric Forrest, ex-Voivod bassist/vocalist for those interested)

So far, nothing mind boggling. Digger and Fear should be fun live, after a few beers. Hearing Midnight sing live should also be cool. Ion Vein is pretty good... I'll have to check out the rest.

They also mentioned that the "headliner" hasn't been announced. Regardless, I'll go. These weekends are too much fun, regardless of whose playing. And Cleveland is only a six hour drive. I loves me my roadtrips.

WOW! That set it awesome, benevolent, wondrous, marvelous, stupendous....

I feel light in my loafers already....

The problem with buying merchandise at live gigs is that they've not caught up with this thing called the credit card yet. Goat only knows why. So anyway, once we find out what merchandise is being offered, perhaps we can all decide up front on who wants what.

Two things:

(1) Novembers Doom has been added to the bill. Nice.

(2) From what I've read on the The End forum, there will be a new Agalloch EP (limited to 1000), and two types of shirts being sold on the tour.

MAKE BOOTLEGS
This is already in motion. Got the equipment, got some experience under my belt doing it. And the venue in NYC, incidentally on my 31st birthday, is an easy one to get the stuff into.

We'll make sure to begin a thread here where people can sign up and make arrangements to get copies. :)

Really (about Nov. Doom)? Nice, the bootleg just got better. I guess I'll be the statue again. If anyone talks near me, I reserve the right to kick them in the shins.

Haha .. this is true .. Lamours is a joke regarding making bootlegs. That place worries me though as there are no metal detectors or pat-downs on the way in. This is great for sneaking in any recording equipment, but sucks if there is a sword fight :) ... and the choice clinentele they cater to ... i am surprised nobody has been killed yet.

Although all this might change soon as they are closed this month for remodeling ... might be some new policies in place after this.

Probably will join you guys for this gig ... keep me posted.

I'll go beer duty. If the Agalloch bootleg quality turns out to be as good as Helloween, then you will be teh win.

Good point lurch - I have no idea what the new L'amours will look like. Perhaps it will look like it's been moved to a safe part of Manhattan? :D

I think I've pretty much given up on L'amours. It's bad enough driving an hour and a half to a complete shit hole. However, waiting until 1:00AM for the headliner to drag their exhausted asses on to the stage is absurd. Getting home at 4:30AM isn't all that much fun either. I think I'll only return to L'amours if a band I really, really want to see is playing there, no where else, and has no plans on doing a second leg.

The Trocadero kicks ass. Doors open at 7:00PM. First band on at 7:30PM. 20 minutes between bands. I don't have to sit through five crap local bands (ala L'amours). The headliner is done by 11PM, which leaves the wife and I enough time to hit a strip bar before heading home.

Yeah, L'amours sucks.
