Amidst myriad pictures of maturity-challenged adults in make-up and scaaaarrrry poses, the ever-humble Akerfeldt occupies the Guitar Corner. The interview is pretty short but worth a trip to the bookstore nonetheless. My favrorite part is this paraphrase: "i bought that amp because it didnt have alot of knobs on it."
Enjoy.

Uhhhh....i assume all of you know im talking about Pit, the magazine, not something you fall into. Also, I'm assuming it's the latest issue, for those of you who would care about that sort of thing........

Last time I looked at an issue of Pit, it was just a mass of unreadable band logos and photos of long-haired/bald guys with dour expressions and folded arms. Why can't some of these bands loosen up? I want to see a photo of some political grind band crammed inside a clown car. That'd make me buy their album.

I read that one today oddly enough. There's also an Akerfeldt interview in one of the acoustic magazines, which has Eric Clapton on the cover. Oh wait, that's all of the acoustic mags. Sorry.

hondo: i second that. its embarrasing to see guys who i know are my age or older wearing make-up and acting like theyre tough or scary or depressed. those are the guys who got beat up in high school, couldnt hold their job at the dog food factory and just happen, by pure circumstance, to now be supported financially by the latest crop of high school kids who buy their albums. those too are the kids who get beat up and cant hold the job at the local subway or burger king. its all very silly. just play guitar and act normal.

masterolightning: heh!
