What makes you think that?

There's a lot of discussion about what style COB is, and some month ago I came with the fact (yes, it's a fact) that if you bring in distorsion guitars to most dance song (like This is the rythm of the night, well you got the savor) it would probably sound something near some COB song. Some of my friend who was also a lot into COB some years ago agreed with me.

I hope some of you will understand what I mean, from now one COB is nothing less or more than Dance metal for me...

The muffin man is seated at the table in the laboratory of the utility muffin
Research kitchen... reaching for an oversized chrome spoon he gathers an
Intimate quantity of dried muffin remnants and brushing his scapular aside
Procceds to dump these inside of his shirt...

He turns to us and speaks:

"some people like cupcakes better. I for one care less for them"

Arrogantly twisting the sterile canvas snoot of a fully charged icing
Anointment utensil he poots forths a quarter-ounce green rosette
Near the summit of a dense but radiant muffin of his own design.
Later he says:

"some people... some people like cupcakes exclusively, while myself, I say
There is naught nor ought there be nothing so exalted on the face of god’s grey Earth as that prince of foods... the muffin!"

Girl you thought he was a man
But he was a muffin
He hung around till you found
That he didn’t know nuthin’

Girl you thought he was a man
But he only was a-puffin’
No cries is heard in the night
As a result of him stuffin’

I used to enjoy some Ace of Base songs before I turned to metal (bless you, Black Sabbath). Maybe there's a subconscious connection?

CoB isn't even close to dance metal. Rammstein is an example of dance metal, and it sounds nothing like CoB.

Thank you, come again.

Correct.

bullshit - Fag-Gothic with distorted guitars is actually dance metal. Rammstein is called Industrial / NDH-Metal.

"Rammstein is a German NDH-Metal band. The band is widely accepted as part of the Neue Deutsche Härte-scene, alongside bands such as Oomph! and Die Krupps. Their sound has been dubbed as Tanz-Metall (lit. "Dance Metal"). Their songs are performed almost exclusively in German. Formed in 1994, they have sold over 12 million records worldwide."

They're also Dance Metal, bud.
