Been a while since I listened to this one. Absolute madness caught on tape. Some of the most tasteful and best executed blast sections to this day. Second to Blessed are the Sick as their best for me because I think that one works better as a full album, whereas Altars... can come across as more of a collection of songs.

Yeah, I like Toteslaut a lot. There's really nothing that I can compare it too. It has a really weird production that totally fits it and then some touches of keyboards that add to the atmosphere.

The general atmosphere and production reminds me of bits and pieces of Mortuary Drape's discography - really rotten and decaying and vile. Have you heard Age of Fire? It's arguably even more demented.
