Nachash - Phantasmal Triunity
This album builds on the potential that Nachash showed on Conjuring the Red Death Eclipse and it continues some of the themes from that release. It is a definite contender for the best Norwegian black metal album that I've heard in years, although it has a lot more in common with bands like Root and Master's Hammer than it does with Darkthrone or Immortal. It's a breath of fresh air featuring six tracks with a focus on great riffs and melodies and it clocks in under forty minutes in length rather than being an hour plus like a lot of albums needlessly are these days.

It sucks Pete Steele died. One band I would have liked to check out in a live setting. This is also the best TON album.
