Am I the only non-power metal fan who posts here?

I'm just curious since it seems like a lot of you are into power metal.

If CoB is power-metal, then I like it. But I really don't know many PM bands....

Well.. yeah but I think it could be argued that a lot of people here like forms of metal that not everyone else does.. Shoot, I can't stand half of the bands that are constantly praised on these forums so I just sit back and enjoy talking with everyone and learning about the music they like.

Oh yeah, check one for me on the Power Metal fan side

Death metal....that includes a lot of the different sub-genres. I really can't stand that "BRUTAL" Suffocation rip-off stuff though.

I don't like Power Metal. I think it's boring and unimaginative on the whole, and even when it's not, I still don't like it.
I also hate Black, Doom, Death, Melodic, Grindcore, Industrial, and what-the-hell-ever Metal. I'm not really a metal fan, I just love progressive bands, but I also love Rasta Metal

Thanatos is right.... Power Metal is Gay.

My favorite is Death Metal, BRUTAL being the best flavor... though I like some melodic and even some other stuff... Doom is okay, Black has some good stuff, even the Gothic and Opera metal is okay. I don't really care for that power metal.... dunno quite why...

sure some of PM is cheesy, but it's ridiculous for metal fans to criticize different genres, when there are so many better musical targets.
