Amorphis photos

CIRCLE-intro were quite grandiloquent, it fits really well for the album and sounded very nice!

I tried one more with my photos, get those a bit better, not well still, but here are a few of them.

Would love to hear it.
Thanks.

Here you go, but you gotta strain your ears quite a bit. ;) Besides keeping the camera down because of the security dude, I had taped a damper to the microphone so it wouldn't get completely killed by the bass drum, but of course the intro was much quieter, so you can't hear much of it. But at least you get a general idea.

Well, if you isolate the actual music playing, you will get a nice, bombastic dark ambient tune :tickled:

Just kidding, it is good recording.
If I caught it all well, first part of it was the music taken "The lights recede, the sounds subdue..." part of the song, lengthened a bit, and the second is the solo done by a women choir...or programmed to sound like it.

It's great, nonetheless. Hopefully, I will hear it sometime during the next 365 days :D

Thanks!

I hardly ever criticize other photographers, but this dude was in the photo pit for the entire show (!!!) and this is all he came up with??! I wouldn't have qualified a single one of these for publication on my own little page, which is indefinitely less important than Soundi. I have nothing at all against the guy himself, and he's done good stuff many times, but...

I was wondering exactly the same thing when I found those last night. Those photos are like I had taken it. And I don't even have a professional camera.
But the gig rewiev was good. :D Not a single bad word, only praise.

Just a two pics from Tuska, 'cause I know there will be a severel better and more qualified ones unleast from Eurynome and xptrinity when they have time to make clear from hundreds of festivalpics.

What was the Tuska setlist!?! Any decent videos? Also, does anyone know what the Hellfest setlist was?

Their playing time was only 55 minutes. And as the next artist was King Diamond, they needed to stop right away when the time was full.
This is always a crappy thing in festivals, the schedule must go on.

Even though the setlist was short of exciting, it was a gig of historic proportions. I've been photographing Amorphis since 2006 at an average rate of 17 shows per year, yet the twenty-eighth of June in the year two-thousand-and-thirteen marked the first time I saw Mr. Tomi S. Koivusaari, on none other than guitar-playing business, cross that magical invisible border which runs between the keyboard riser and the edge of the stage....

More pics here.

Thank you for these awesome pics! Spirit was great!
And again a day after tomorrow. Uudestaan, uudestaan!

Even Ruisrock is a bit too big festival for my taste, imo Amorphis gig was better than Tuska. Maybe it's 'cause Ruisrock still is my home venue festival.
