Not sure if any of you ever heard these guys, but, fuck - I used to love them. Screams and Whispers, while now almost two decades old, is still one of the coolest metal albums of all time.

So ahead of it's time, in my opinion - bear in mind this came out in 1993.

Great, great band. Did you know that they're actually back together since last year?

They were both ahead of their time and way late on the train at once. When they (arguably) hit their finest hour with "S&W" in 1993 there was simply no money to make from that kind of music (anymore). Too heavy to appeal the prog fans, too outmoded for the metalheads. Throw in a record company that was not willing to sink their money in promoting such an oddball and you have all the ingredients for true underground heroes.

I always thought of them as the Psychotic Waltz of thrash. Not musically of course, but considering their vitae.

Yeah, I am looking forward to hearing them play again. Screams And Whispers was definitely an underrated favorite of mine. Look for their website, they have all the original songs up for download since the discs are out of print...I guess they decided people should have the chance to hear the material, even if they don't get paid for it, they'd rather everyone have it than worry about making a buck anymore.

I love their first album when I heard it five years ago. I actually bought the album you posted years ago at an FYE. I was surprised as hell I found a copy.

Holy shit!! I didn't know they had gotten back together!! I MUST see them!!

S&W is such a killer album - every song on it is good, and it's rare for me to say that about any album! I think it won metal album of the year in '93 when it was released - well deserved! Funny how you can hear their influence (indirectly, probably) on some of today's music.

Awesome to see other fans on the board too!

Almost all the songs have been remastered by Kenn Nardi and are avail on the website for download, as well as his solo record Cruel April.

He also posts videos and live vids on youtube
