The thing that bothers me about this stuff is that it's just so utterly tasteless. I don't mind the idea of synthy dance music and metal together, but man these bands just have zero compositional/arrangement skills. I mean at least when "Linkin Park" jammed all of the pop culture music trends of the late 90s into one hideous monstrousity, they had writing and production teams that could actually make the stuff sound like a cohesive "song". This dancecore stuff is always just the juxtaposition of a bunch of recycled hardcore breakdowns and mediocre trance beats with no structure or coherency. It wouldn't suck so much if the music was composed by musicians and not pseudo-metal, indie fanboys.

I saw this video a while back of some guy doing commentary with Attack Attack! playing in the background, and one of the things he points out is their lack of transitions.

(and no just because I listen to them does not mean I don't know so called "real" music.. I like at the same time a lot of the stuff that the majority here dig)

EDIT.. oh and tbh I like how they seem to enjoy them self and have a lot of fun making the music, refreshing to see when you are used to all the " seriouse tough guy" metal cliches
