i love how the guy plays a really terrible sounding (and terrible song i might add) death metal recording in honor of putting down how terrible attack attack is...

since when is silence not a way to transition from something to something else...

no no no. I am sure sunno are all amazingly talented musicians. I am not trying to knock them down at all. Nor am I trying to put Attack Attack where they need not be. But the truth is, regardless of intention, music is music.

I am for doing music because of the pure love and connection that I feel with it, however, if someone told me that I could play music, have the time of my life touring the nation, walk away with stories to tell my (future) kids, and get paid a little, then sign me up.

I'm sure your going to call me a sellout or whatever, but I would rather be playing music for a living than working some pointless job, telling everyone how "true" of a musician I am because I chose not to "sellout".

Jesus fucking christ, I had never bothered trying to listen to Attack Attack before, so I just watched the first minute of this video. I rather liked the intro, it was pretty heavy, but the moment that fuck opened his mouth, ugh uke:, this sort of shit is toxicuke:uke:

The thing that bothers me about this stuff is that it's just so utterly tasteless. I don't mind the idea of synthy dance music and metal together, but man these bands just have zero compositional/arrangement skills. I mean at least when "Linkin Park" jammed all of the pop culture music trends of the late 90s into one hideous monstrousity, they had writing and production teams that could actually make the stuff sound like a cohesive "song". This dancecore stuff is always just the juxtaposition of a bunch of recycled hardcore breakdowns and mediocre trance beats with no structure or coherency. It wouldn't suck so much if the music was composed by musicians and not pseudo-metal, indie fanboys.

Definitely, the thing the fucks me off most about these type of bands is the lack of dynamic variation in their actual music.

All the songs just plod along at the same level for the duration and never take the listener anywhere. If music is about the journey, not getting from A to B, then these fuckers destroy that journey, because there's absolutely fuck all restraint, it's just one long meaningless chugathon gurglefest.
