So the end of the year is nearing and we have had some great metal releases over the past 11mths. Andy, James et al what have been your favourite releases so far this year?

For me I love 'This Godless Endeavour' and 'Stabbing the Drama'.

For sure This Godless Endeavour, the best album of this period!
I thought the best record from nevermore was Dead Heart, but this is really better, both production and tunes wise.

Oh my... So many records I loved and so many I didn't even hear about... Arch Enemy, Nevermore, Soilwork, Kamelot, After Forever, Gorefest, Dream Theater, Biomechanical, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Anti-Depressive Delivery, Lordi, Darkane, Gojira, Freak Kitchen, Malmonde, Arcturus, Machine Head, In Flames... and so many I forgot...

I'm not Andy or James but if you ask me:

Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Emilliana Torrini - Fisherman's Woman
Nightrage - Descent into Chaos
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
The Cardigans - Super Extra Gravity

Biggest desappointment:
Kate Bush - Aerial

Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
Arch Enemy - Doomsday Machine
Decapitated - The Negation
Dimmu Bogir - Death Cult Armageddon
The Black Dahlia Murder - Miasma
As I Lay Dying* - Shadows Are Security
