I'm gonna go against the grain. Remasters are almost always way better than the original. Listen to Rush's Moving Pictures, then pop in the remastered version. You will now hear what the music was supposed to sound like but was not because of the limitations of older equipment. I'm all for remastering. I'd buy them if they did. The only thing I don't like is when they say they are remastered, but they don't sound any better. Forbidden's Twisted Into Form remaster was a waste of $12; I played it and the original back to back and couldn't hear a difference. Re-recording is cool, but I'd rather have the original music how it was intended to be heard. What I don't understand is why some people actually like the inferior production value?
