I usually do give music a chance and try to rarely generalize. From what I've heard the main reasons why I can't stand nu-metal is because of the lack of any sort of melody (songs seem to be strictly rhythm-based), simple, boring song structure, unintelligent lyrics, and how they tend to use a pathetic image to mask their lack of talent. Also, another thing that really pisses me off is how it has been customary for these bands to be referred to as "metal". No, I generally don't give a shit about labeling music either, but it's very frustrating that when I try to talk to others about metal, they think these bands are what metal music is all about and they have no concept about what "metal" really is.
yeah i hate it when people say Ozzy rules because they were on the ozzfest bill with Slipknot, so all these slipknot fans said how ozzy is god and the founder, that made me angry, i dont know much about the old scene as im a bit young, but i keep my mouth shut about what i dont know, they just make stuff up.
