Any else here likes Silentium?

Hell, few years ago, I listened Silentiums first LP and didn't like them att all. Now after few years, couple of months ago, I went to a records store and they had a lot of stuff almost free and I saw Silentiums MCD, bought it (5€) and I was like "hell, is this really the same band, that I didn't like before?". The MCD ruled big time for me, I got a lot of new influences to my bands next promo and so I bought their second LP, Altum. Altum was also amazing piece of work!
If you don't know the band, they sound something like MDB, a little like Anathema (vox), etc. They have a female-vocalist and a male-vocalist, mostly clean male-vocals, some harsh-vocals too. Yeah, they are really good. Though I find the lyrics a bit repetitive, such as using the same words at many places. But I like them. I was currently looking for their first cd: infinita plango vulnera.

Yeah, some lyrics are not so good, but the recent one did have very good lyrics also...
I also miss their first LP, but my bands ex-female-singer has that album and she doesn't like it, so I think I'm gonna buy it from her...i haven't heard that album in few years now, so I must give it a second change, because their demos before that LP are also very good, so I guess the female-vocals were my biggest problem before, but not anymore...

"revangelis" is a great song. I also love "blasphemer" and "to my beloved one". it might be possible to get their first cd from the Spinefarm Records website. metaldisc has that cd too but they dont accept my credit card(they dont trust me because i live in turkey )

"On thorns I lay" are a bit similar to silentium. you might want to check them out.

OK, thanks, I'm gonna check them out...If you can't find the first disc anywhere, maybe I can help then, cause I live in Finland, so we basicly have every Spikefarm-disc available here...

Hmm...I found them a bit boring when I listened to them a while ago...maybe I should take another look..
