any melodic death bands out there?(not what you think)

im in a band but we all want to play different kinds of metal. i want to play a type of metal i haven't heard yet but i know probably exists. i want to hear a band that is as technical as necrophagist but as melodic as children of bodom or insomnium.

I want to say late-era Death, but I don't know if you'd consider them to be melodic in the same way as those bands.

Yeah, I really doubt this is what he would be looking for. Also, comparing Crimson Massacre to CoB in the same sentence is pretty much a cardinal sin tbqh.
