any suggestions of things you want to see this year at the fest?

There's a distro I saw someone post a link about here in Chicago.
For the life of me, I can't recall the name.
I think they deal more in death metal.

Bob - Jake seems to comment on their links a lot, which is how I heard about them.
Maybe you know what I am talking about?

If Stormspell comes, Swords and Chains wouldn't make any sales!

Metal Haven??

If Stormspell came id still make sales, i have alot of stuff still thay he probably wouldnt have as he seems to blaze through stock once he puts it up with the new releases. I talked to hik about it last year, but he wasnt sure if itd be worth the trip to bring the distro out. And he also has some personal issue going on right now that are already a big enough distraction from the label.

I don't think I would make a good MC. I wouldn't be able to think of much to say other than Jason's lines. "This band sucks, they don't sound German..."

Try asking Sentinel Steel to come again. Maybe eventually it'll work out. Asking Hells Headbangers is a good idea too.

Mendyke....Metal Haven is the record store that used to be in Chicago. Mark has all his stuff from the store still and I know is trying to sell it off. 1,000's of CDs and vinyl. I can find out if he is interested.

here is what I know about other distros......

Stormspell, Sentinel Steel, Sounds of Purgatory....dont see it happening. Having talked to all. Just dont see it happening. I wish they all would come out.

Hell's Headbangers would be big. Not sure if there is enough of thier style of bands for them to want to come out. This is where Acid Witch would have been perfect.

Jason...I think that death metal vendor is Hells Headbangers. If not it may be the guy from Caridac Arrest distro...which literally has had the same stuff in thier for years. he would sell at all the Red Line Tap shows.

Mendyke..you are going to be a busy man looking for vendors. Plus trying to fit them all in.

I think an MC would be good, so long as it's the proper personality. Just add to that festival atmosphere. MC should be like this guy:

this is exactly what I am talking about. You almost need a high energy guy who is going to pump up the bands between sets and not just be obnoxious or trying to be funny. You need a natural and a guy not trying to push himself up there but just keep the energy going through the whole show. Hopefully also with the second stage going that inbetween sets people who maybe havnt heard of the band playing the second stage will wander over there and check them out.

Yes, Shadow Kingdom and Sentinel Steel! I know Sentinel Steel used to vend at Progpower but not the last couple years unfortunately.

I would recommend All That Is Heavy. Stoner and doom specialists..they also run the Meteor City record label.

And what about Heaven and Hell/Sounds of Purgatory or is there a feud between them and the fest.

I think that was just last year's as I didn't go, because I know when I went two years ago, they were there as that's the majority of the stuff I got.

That is it!!! Thank you.
It is the guy from cardiac arrest I am speaking of.
